Before you begin

• Work powered down: Park on level ground, switch the truck off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal when handling wiring.
• Protect body panels: Use clean towels or masking tape near painted edges around the tailgate and bed sides.
• Do not force clips: If a lamp does not move, stop and look for another fastener or locating pin.
• No grease on connectors: Do not apply dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease to connectors or sockets.

Tools and supplies

Remove the original tail lights

1. Open the access area: Lower the tailgate and locate the lamp retainers.
2. Support the original tail light: Hold the lamp while removing its fasteners.
3. Pull the lamp straight out: Release locating pins by pulling in line with the lamp. Do not lever against painted panels.
4. Disconnect the wiring: Press the connector lock tab and pull by the connector body, not by the wires.
5. Compare before transfer: Compare the removed lamp with the RIGNOX product reference images before fitting the new one.

Install the RIGNOX tail lights

1. Pre-check the plug layout: Confirm the rear plug and mounting points match the product reference images.
2. Fit the adapter on 2014-2015 trucks: Connect the included adapter harness to the vehicle connector first, then to the lamp. Skip this step on 2016 and later trucks.
3. Connect the lamp: Seat the connector fully and confirm the lock tab clicks into place.
4. Seat the lamp evenly: Align locating pins and body gaps before tightening. Do not over-tighten plastic mounting points.
5. Test before closing up: Run the function test below before refitting anything.

Electrical and function test

1. Confirm running lights on both sides.
2. Confirm brake lights with a helper pressing the brake pedal.
3. Confirm left and right turn signals and hazards. The turn signal flashes red in the same zone as the brake light.
4. Confirm reverse lights with the truck safely in reverse and the parking brake applied.
5. Confirm the startup animation after the road-light functions pass.
6. Check for dashboard warnings, hyperflash, flicker, or intermittent operation.

Final check

• All connectors are locked, dry, and routed without tension.
• The adapter harness, if used, is secured away from heat, water paths, moving parts, and sharp edges.
• Both lamps sit flush with even body gaps.

Troubleshooting

• Lamp does not light on a 2014-2015 truck: Confirm the adapter harness is fitted and seated at both ends.
• No amber turn signal: Expected. This product flashes the turn signal red in the brake zone, matching the factory lamp.
• One function does not work: Compare the plug area to the product reference images and verify the connector is fully seated.
• Warning message, flicker, or hyperflash: Confirm the correct product was installed and every connector is seated.
• Moisture appears: Light condensation may clear as the lamp warms. Heavy or persistent moisture should be documented with photos before continued use.
