Every function runs on LEDs, so the housing lights instantly and evenly with none of the warm-up lag or burnout cycle of filament bulbs. The turn signal fires as a sweep rather than a single flash, and the full pattern runs once on ignition as a startup animation. No external controller, nothing to configure once the harness is plugged in.

Two builds, same price. Smoked Red darkens the whole rear end and is the closer of the two to a factory-plus look. Clear White runs a white signature behind a clear lens — the version that changes the character of the car rather than sharpening it.

Check your turn signal colour before ordering. This is the one fitment detail that matters on a Type 42, and it isn't obvious from the year:

• 4.2L V8, 5.2L V10 cars with factory amber turn signals are supported — the required decoder is included.
• 4.2L V8, 5.2L V10 cars with factory red turn signals are NOT supported. The startup animation and sequential sweep will not run correctly on that wiring, so these are the wrong lights for that car.

Audi changed the factory lighting interface partway through production, which is why early LED and later dynamic turn-signal cars behave differently. Thirty seconds looking at what colour your indicator flashes now will tell you which camp you're in.

Built on patented optical technology and independently tested for vibration, mechanical shock, and corrosion resistance. The lens is UV-stable polycarbonate, so it holds its clarity instead of yellowing after a few summers.
