2012-2018 BMW 3 Series F30 / M3 F80 Sequential LED Tail Lights Assembly

The F30's rear end is defined by its light bar signature, and these redraw it. Every function runs on LEDs, so the lens lights instantly and evenly — including on Pre-LCI cars that left the factory with halogen bulbs back there.

One assembly, Pre-LCI and LCI. BMW changed the tail light connector pinout between Pre-LCI (2012-2015) and LCI (2016-2018), so factory lamps can't be swapped between the two without an adapter harness. The conversion circuit is built into this assembly on every build — the same part plugs straight into either car, with no adapter and no coding.

A complete four-piece set. Left and right outer housings on the body, plus left and right inner lenses on the trunk lid. The rear reads as one continuous line instead of new outers sitting next to faded factory inners.

No F30 or F80 M3 left the factory with a sweeping signal — stock turn signals fire as one solid block on every trim, Pre-LCI and LCI alike. Here the amber turn sweeps outward through the lens, and the full pattern runs once on unlock or ignition as a startup animation. Reverse runs on high-output LEDs instead of the dim factory bulb. No external controller, nothing to configure once the harness is plugged in.

Two housing shapes, three builds. Laser draws a sharp, three-dimensional light line across the lens — the closest read to what BMW itself moved toward on later cars. Y-Bar splits the signature into a wide Y instead, a heavier and more deliberate shape that reads as a full redesign rather than an upgrade of the original.

Then the finish. Laser Smoked White runs a clean white signature behind a smoked lens — the OEM-plus build, sharper than stock without announcing itself. Laser Smoked RGB w/ APP Control puts app-controlled RGB in the same housing, so the accent lighting can be set from your phone for shows and meets. Y-Bar Smoked Red keeps a red signature behind the smoked lens in the Y housing. Turn signals stay amber on all three, as required for road use.

Built on patented optical technology and independently tested for vibration, mechanical shock, and corrosion resistance. The lens is UV-stable polycarbonate, so it holds its clarity instead of yellowing after a few summers.

Running, brake, reverse and turn all keep the factory logic, and the assembly uses the original mounting points and seals. Installation is plug-and-play into the factory harness. Integrated decoders and an LED flash relay hold the correct flash cadence — no hyper-flashing, no dash errors.

Compatibility

Fits: 2012-2018 BMW 3 Series Sedan (F30, 4-door only) and 2014-2018 BMW M3 Sedan (F80) — all trims, including 320i, 328i, 335i, 340i, and xDrive AWD. Both Pre-LCI (2012-2015) and LCI (2016-2018) cars are covered by the same assembly.

Does not fit: F31 Touring wagon, F34 3 Series Gran Turismo, F32 / F33 / F36 4 Series, or 2019 and newer G20. The M4 (F82 / F83) uses a different rear structure and is not supported.
