2015-2021 Subaru WRX / STI VA Sequential LED Tail Lights Assembly — Pair

The VA-chassis WRX and STI ran from 2015 to 2021 with a tail light Subaru never modernized — a flat lens on one of the most-modified sedans of its era. The Fishbone builds answer that: a stacked rib pattern that reads unmistakably from three cars back.

Every function runs on LEDs, so each one lights up instantly and evenly with none of the warm-up lag or burnout cycle of filament bulbs. The turn signal fires as a sequential sweep rather than a single flash, and full LED brake, tail, and reverse functions round out the housing. Behind a smoked lens, the whole assembly sinks into a dark car when the lights are off.

Four builds, one fit. Smoked White and Smoked Red run the static Fishbone signature. Smoked RGB makes that signature app-controllable color — set any color from your phone through the Happy Lighting app (no remote). The RGB panel runs on a white substrate — color is show, the road light is business. Matrix Smoked Digital replaces the Fishbone ribs with a full LED matrix panel in a light gunmetal housing, programmed through the Star Light Running app, with a one-touch remote that switches it straight back to red driving mode, and it runs a startup animation when the lights power on.

Built on patented optical technology and independently tested for vibration, mechanical shock, and corrosion resistance. The lens is UV-stable polycarbonate, so it holds its clarity instead of yellowing after a few summers.

Installation is plug-and-play into the factory harness. Integrated anti-flicker decoders hold the correct flash cadence — no hyper-flashing, no dash errors.
