2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 & 2007-2014 2500HD/3500HD LED Dual Projector Headlights installation guide

Important: This online guide is a product-image-verified overview for the matched RIGNOX product. It uses the product page, product reference images, and visible lighting-function details to guide product-side checks. Confirm hidden vehicle-side fasteners, trim clips, and wiring access points on your exact truck before removal.

Safety warning: Do NOT use dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease on connectors or sockets. Grease can cause connection problems and may affect warranty coverage.

Product image checkpoints

  • The matching product page identifies this as a direct-fit, plug-and-play installation using the factory mounting points, clips, and connector — no cutting or drilling. Use the product images for lamp-shape comparison and confirm the connector locks before reinstalling the grille or bumper trim.
  • The visible product-function references indicate low beam, high beam, white DRL bar, and amber turn signal checks for this product. The turn signal is a standard flash (not sequential) and there is no startup animation — do not troubleshoot for functions this build does not have.
  • The integrated CANbus decoder is built into the assembly. Do not add universal resistors, decoders, or relays unless RIGNOX support confirms they are needed for your truck.
  • This assembly is for factory halogen trucks only. If your truck has factory HID or LED headlights, stop here and contact support before removing anything.

Product notes

  • Use the product reference images on this page as the product-side visual check for connector layout, rear housing shape, and lighting functions.
  • Original vehicle trim, clip style, and fastener locations can vary by year, cab, and previous repairs. Remove panels slowly and verify each fastener before pulling.
  • Road-lighting compliance and off-road/show-use notes are product specific. Review the matching RIGNOX product page for the exact language for this item.

Before you begin

  • Confirm the exact product and truck: Confirm the kit SKU is H-SIL07, the truck is a GMT900 new-body Silverado (not the 2007 Classic, not a 2014 1500), and the factory headlights are halogen. Compare the RIGNOX headlights to the product reference images, including rear housing, plug layout, and lens style.
  • Work powered down: Park on level ground, switch the truck off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal when handling wiring.
  • Protect body panels: Use clean towels or masking tape near painted edges around the hood, grille, bumper edge, and fender.
  • Do not force clips: If a lamp or trim panel does not move, stop and look for another fastener or locating pin.
  • No grease on connectors: Do not apply dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease to connectors or sockets.

Tools and supplies

  • Trim removal tool or panel clip tool
  • Metric and SAE socket and ratchet set; verify exact sizes on the truck before removal
  • Phillips and flat screwdrivers
  • Clean microfiber towels and masking tape
  • Electrical tape and zip ties for securing included harnesses only
  • A wall or flat vertical surface for beam-pattern checking

Remove the original headlights

  1. Open the front access area: Open the hood and remove only the covers, clips, grille pieces, or fender-edge fasteners needed to reach the headlight retainers on your truck.
  2. Support the original headlight: Hold the lamp while releasing its retainers so it cannot drop against the bumper or fender.
  3. Release the headlight from locating points: Pull the lamp forward in line with its mounting tabs. Do not pry against painted panels or lens edges.
  4. Disconnect the wiring: Press each lock tab and pull by the connector body, not by the wires.
  5. Compare before transfer: Compare the removed lamp with the RIGNOX product reference images. Transfer brackets, dust caps, or seals only when the product configuration requires it. Factory bulbs are not reused — the RIGNOX assembly is fully LED.

Install the RIGNOX headlights

  1. Pre-check the rear housing: Confirm the rear plug area, dust caps, and mounting tabs match the product reference images.
  2. Connect the main plug: Seat the factory connector fully into the RIGNOX connector and confirm the lock tab clicks into place. No adapter harness or splicing is required on a halogen truck.
  3. Route any add-on wiring carefully: If your kit includes a separate DRL or turn-signal lead, secure it away from radiator fans, belts, hot parts, sharp edges, and water paths.
  4. Set the lamp in place: Align all mounting tabs and locating pins before tightening. Do not use fasteners to force a misaligned headlight into position.
  5. Test before closing the front end: Reconnect the battery and test low beam, high beam, DRL, turn signals, and hazards on both sides.
  6. Check beam aim: After both headlights are installed, verify beam height and cutoff on a flat surface and adjust if required.

Electrical and function test

  1. Confirm low beam and high beam operate on both sides.
  2. Confirm the white DRL bar lights with the truck running and the amber turn signal flashes at normal cadence on both sides.
  3. Check for dashboard warnings, flicker, hyperflash, or intermittent operation before reinstalling final trim.
  4. Verify beam aim after installation so the cutoff is safe and even.

Final check

  • All connectors are locked, dry, and routed without tension.
  • Any extra harness is secured away from heat, water paths, moving parts, and sharp edges.
  • Both headlights sit flush with even gaps to the grille, hood, and fender, with properly seated seals.
  • All supported lighting functions pass on both sides.
  • No warning lights, flicker, hyperflash, abnormal heat, moisture issue, or loose wiring remains after a short check drive.

Troubleshooting

  • One lamp does not turn on: Recheck the main connector lock, related fuse, and battery connection.
  • One function does not work: Compare the plug area to the product reference images and verify the connector is fully seated.
  • Warning message, flicker, or hyperflash: Confirm the truck is a factory halogen model. Trucks with factory HID or LED headlights use different wiring and are not supported by this assembly.
  • Moisture appears: Light condensation may clear as the lamp warms. Heavy or persistent moisture should be documented with photos before continued use.
  • Beam pattern is too high or uneven: Recheck lamp seating first, then adjust aim on a flat surface.

Need help?

If the original lamp, vehicle connector, or included harness does not match the product reference images, stop before modifying wiring. Contact RIGNOX support with your order information, truck year/model/trim, and clear photos of the connector area, rear housing, beam output, and installed front-end gap.
