Before you begin
- Confirm the exact truck: DS or Classic only. If the tailgate does not read “Classic” and the truck is a 2019 or newer 1500, stop — that is a DT and these will not fit.
- Confirm the exact product: Compare the RIGNOX headlights to the product reference images, including rear housing, plug layout, lens style, and included modules.
- Work powered down: Park on level ground, switch the vehicle off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal when handling wiring.
- Protect body panels: Use clean towels or masking tape near painted edges around the hood, grille, bumper edge, or fender liner area.
- Do not force clips: If a lamp or trim panel does not move, stop and look for another fastener or locating pin.
- No grease on connectors: Do not apply dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease to connectors or sockets.

Remove the original headlights

Remove the Upper Plastic Cover: Remove the upper plastic cover by releasing the four plastic push rivets. Carefully lift the cover away to access the front bumper mounting hardware.

Remove the Four 10mm Bumper Top Bolts: Remove the four 10mm bolts located along the top edge of the front bumper. Two bolts are visible on this side, while the remaining two bolts are located on the opposite side of the vehicle. After removing the four top bolts, carefully remove the front bumper assembly to access the headlight mounting bolts.

Remove the Headlight Mounting Bolts: Remove the two 10mm bolts securing the headlight bracket to the core support structure.

Release the Headlight Retaining Clip: Access the rear side of the headlight assembly through the wheel well area, then push up the white retaining clip to unlock the headlight assembly.

Remove the Factory Headlight: Carefully remove the factory headlight assembly and disconnect the factory electrical connector.
Install the RIGNOX headlights

Connect the RIGNOX Headlight Main Power Plug: Connect the RIGNOX headlight main power plug to the factory electrical connector. Then connect the Daytime Running Light (DRL) butt plug to the other headlight’s DRL power wire and connect it to the battery positive terminal (+).

Test Lighting Functions Before Final Assembly: Before reinstalling and securing all removed components, test all lighting functions to ensure the RIGNOX headlights are working properly. Once everything is confirmed, reinstall and secure all parts.
Electrical and function test
- Confirm low beam and high beam operate on both sides.
- Confirm DRL, parking light, amber turn signal, hazard, sequential, and switchback behavior where supported by this product.
