Before you begin

• Confirm the exact product: Compare the RIGNOX tail lights to the product page photography, including rear housing, plug layout, lens style, and included harnesses.
• Work powered down: Park on level ground, switch the vehicle off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal when handling wiring.
• Protect body panels: Use clean towels or masking tape near painted edges around the trunk opening and quarter panels.
• Do not force clips: If a lamp or trim panel does not move, stop and look for another fastener or locating pin.
• No grease on connectors: Do not apply dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease to connectors or sockets.

Remove the original tail lights

1. Open the rear access area: Open the trunk and remove the access cover or liner needed to reach the lamp retainers.
2. Support the original tail light: Hold the lamp while removing its nuts, bolts, screws, or clips.
3. Pull the lamp straight out: Release locating pins by pulling in line with the original lamp. Do not lever against painted body panels.
4. Disconnect the wiring: Press the connector lock tab and pull by the connector body, not by the wires.
5. Repeat for the trunk-lid lenses: The inner lenses mount on the trunk lid and use their own fasteners and connectors. Support the trunk lid and work with it fully open.

Install the RIGNOX tail lights

1. Pre-check the plug layout: Confirm the rear plug, connector count, and mounting points match what the product page shows, for both outer and inner pieces.
2. Connect the main harness: Seat the vehicle connector fully into the RIGNOX connector and confirm the lock tab clicks into place.
3. Connect the supplied harnesses: Run the jumper lead between the outer and inner lamps, and connect the reverse-light harness. Secure both away from hinges, latch movement, water paths, and sharp edges.
4. Seat the lamp evenly: Align locating pins and body gaps before tightening. Do not over-tighten plastic mounting points. Check that the outer and inner pieces line up across the body seam.
5. Test before closing trim: Test running lights, brake lights, turn signals, hazards, reverse lights, and the startup animation.
6. Reinstall trim: Refit access covers, trunk liners, and clips only after confirming no wires are pinched.

Electrical and function test

1. Confirm running/parking lights on both sides.
2. Confirm brake lights with a helper pressing the brake pedal.
3. Confirm left and right turn signals, hazards, and the sequential sweep.
