Before you begin

- Trim check: Confirm whether the vehicle left the factory with halogen or LED headlights. S trim halogen vehicles require the separate adapter harness before the RIGNOX headlights will operate.
- Power and safety: Switch the vehicle off before unplugging connectors. Disconnect the negative battery terminal when handling wiring, fuse taps, or exposed circuits.
- Protect the vehicle: Use clean towels or masking tape around painted panels, the bonnet edge, and grille trim. Do not force clips or pry against painted surfaces.
- No connector grease: Do not apply dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease to connectors or sockets.
- Front-end note: Leave grille and bumper trim loose until every lighting function passes testing and beam aim is set.
Tools and supplies

Remove the original headlights
- Open front access: Open the bonnet and remove only the grille trim, upper bumper fasteners, and access covers required to reach the headlight fasteners.
- Expose lamp fasteners: Release clips with a trim tool rather than a screwdriver so they can be reused during reassembly.
- Support the lamp: Hold the headlight with one hand while removing the remaining bolts or clips.
- Disconnect vehicle connectors: Press each lock tab and pull by the connector body, not by the wires.
- Release locating pins: Draw the headlight straight forward. Do not pry against painted body panels.
- Repeat on the opposite side: Complete one side fully before starting the other, so the original assembly remains available as a reference.
Install the RIGNOX headlights
- Compare assemblies before mounting: Compare the removed original headlight and the RIGNOX headlight. Transfer brackets, seals, or adjuster hardware only where the original assembly clearly carries a part the new one does not.
- Connect the main harness: Match each included connector to the corresponding vehicle connector and confirm the lock tab clicks into place. On S trim halogen vehicles, fit the separate adapter harness first.
- Route controller wiring: On the RGB variant, route the controller wire away from moving parts, hot surfaces, and sharp sheet-metal edges, and leave it accessible for pairing.
- Secure wiring before mounting: Use zip ties to prevent rubbing, pinching, water pooling, or contact with the bonnet latch, radiator support, and exhaust heat.
- Seat and fasten the lamp: Align locating pins and check the panel gap against the bonnet, wing, and grille before tightening. Tighten retainers evenly without over-tightening plastic mounts.
- Reinstall trim last: Leave grille and bumper trim loose until every electrical function passes testing.
Electrical and function test
- Test daytime running lights, low beam, high beam, left and right turn signals, hazards, and startup animation if equipped.
- Confirm the turn signal sweeps in sequential amber on the correct side.
- Confirm no bulb-out warning, hyperflash, or flicker appears after two ignition cycles.
- For the RGB variant, confirm controller power, app pairing, normal mode, RGB mode, brightness controls, and the mode required for road use.

Set the beam aim
- Park square to a flat wall about 25 feet away on level ground, with a normal fuel load and no unusual weight in the boot.
- Mark the height of each beam centre on the wall and compare the two sides.
- Use the headlight adjusters to bring the cut-off line level and even across both sides.
- A projector with a sharp cut-off aimed too high is worse for oncoming traffic than the lamp it replaced. Set aim before driving at night.
Final check

- Warning, flicker, or hyperflash appears: Confirm the included converter and smart decoders are connected exactly as supplied for this vehicle trim.
- Trim will not sit flush: Check for a trapped harness, a misaligned clip, or a locating pin that has not seated.
- RGB or app feature does not respond: Confirm the product variant supports RGB, the controller has power, and the app is paired before closing trim.
