Toyota stopped selling the FJ in the States in 2014 and the used prices went the wrong direction — which tells you what owners think of it. The vertical C-pillar tail lights are part of why it still looks like nothing else in traffic.

Every function runs on LEDs, so each one lights up instantly and evenly with none of the warm-up lag or burnout cycle of filament bulbs. The turn signal fires as a sweep rather than a single flash, and the full pattern runs once as a startup animation each time the lights power on. The sweep and startup animation need no external controller — they run straight from the factory harness.

Two designs. Hook traces a red outline around the lamp and finishes in a hook-shaped light bar, with the turn signal running across the middle. Halo stacks three nested rings around a red ribbed brake section; the rings run full RGB, controlled from the Star Light Running app, and the included remote switches them back to red in one press for the road.

Built on patented optical technology and independently tested for vibration, mechanical shock, and corrosion resistance. The lens is UV-stable polycarbonate — which matters on a truck that spends its life outdoors, because it holds its clarity instead of chalking over the way the originals have by now.

Installs into the factory mounts and plugs into the factory sockets. On the US-spec FJ, one wire per side, the turn signal, is joined to the factory socket by hand. Our install guide shows it step by step. The anti-hyperflash load is built into the lights, so there's no resistor to add.
