Volkswagen ended the Beetle in 2019 and there won't be another one. The A5 is the version that dropped the flower vase and asked to be taken seriously — lower, wider, and closer to the 1960s car than the one it replaced.

Projector optics produce a controlled beam with a defined cutoff — light on the road, not in oncoming eyes. That's the whole job here: the round housing is what makes the car, so the point isn't to redesign it, it's to put proper optics behind a shape worth keeping.
Bulbs are not included. These are supplied as housings: fit your own H7 halogen bulbs for low and high beam, which is what the headlights are designed for. For HID or LED, buy those bulbs separately (H7 or D2H base); an HID kit also needs its own ballasts. That's a real cost to budget for on top of the assemblies — stated up front so there's no surprise when the box arrives.
Factory halogen cars only. Beetles built with factory Xenon headlights — with or without AFS adaptive lighting — use a different interface and are not compatible.
Built on patented optical technology and independently tested for vibration, mechanical shock, and corrosion resistance.
No turn signal in the headlight. On the Beetle the front turn signals sit in the bumper, so they stay as they are and keep working as before. The headlight carries a white LED running light, low beam and high beam.
Installation is plug-and-play into the factory harness, with integrated decoders — no dash errors.

The black housing and circular design look really clean on my Beetle. Even with the lights off, the details stand out nicely. Very happy with them.
