Product image checkpoints
- The matching product page identifies this as a direct-fit, plug-and-play style installation. Use the product images for lamp-shape comparison and confirm the connector locks before reinstalling trim.
- The visible product-function references indicate running/parking light, brake light, reverse light, sequential turn signal, startup animation checks for this product. Test each supported function before tightening the lamp and closing the access area.

Product notes
- Use the product reference images on this page as the product-side visual check for connector layout, rear housing shape, and lighting functions.
- Original vehicle trim, clip style, and fastener locations can vary by year, trim, and previous repairs. Remove panels slowly and verify each fastener before pulling.
- Road-lighting compliance and off-road/show-use notes are product specific. Review the matching RIGNOX product page for the exact language for this item.
Before you begin
- Confirm the exact product: Compare the RIGNOX tail lights to the product reference images, including rear housing, plug layout, lens style, and included modules.
- Work powered down: Park on level ground, switch the vehicle off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal when handling wiring.
- Protect body panels: Use clean towels or masking tape near painted edges around the tailgate, trunk, hatch, bed-side access, or cargo trim area.
- Do not force clips: If a lamp or trim panel does not move, stop and look for another fastener or locating pin.
- No grease on connectors: Do not apply dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease to connectors or sockets.
Tools and supplies
- Trim removal tool or panel clip tool
- Metric socket and ratchet set; verify exact sizes on the vehicle before removal
- Phillips and flat screwdrivers
- Clean microfiber towels and masking tape
- Electrical tape and zip ties for securing included harnesses only
- A helper for brake-light and reverse-light testing
Remove the original tail lights
-
Remove the tail light mounting screws: Open the tailgate and use a 10mm socket to remove the upper and lower mounting screws along the inner edge of each tail light assembly.

-
Remove the factory tail light assembly: Hold the tail light firmly and pull it straight toward the rear of the vehicle. If the assembly does not release, carefully insert a plastic trim tool between the tail light and body to loosen it without damaging the paint.

-
Disconnect the factory wiring harness: Press the locking tab on the tail light connector and disconnect the factory harness. Check the inside of the connector for debris or corrosion before installing the new light.

Install the RIGNOX tail lights
-
Connect the new tail light harness: Align the connector on the new LED tail light with the factory wiring plug and push the connectors together until the locking tab is fully engaged.

-
Install and secure the new tail light: Align the locating pins on the side of the new tail light with the corresponding body openings and push the assembly straight into position. Start both mounting screws before tightening them, then tighten the upper and lower screws evenly with a 10mm socket.

-
Inspect the fitment and test the tail lights: Close the tailgate and confirm that the gaps between the tail lights, tailgate, and body are even. Activate each rear lighting function and verify that both new LED tail lights operate correctly.

Electrical and function test
- Confirm running/parking lights on both sides.
- Confirm brake lights with a helper pressing the brake pedal.
- Confirm left and right turn signals, hazards, and sequential behavior where supported.
- Confirm reverse lights with the vehicle safely in reverse and the parking brake applied.
- Confirm startup animation or RGB/app functions only after normal road-light functions pass.
- Check for dashboard warnings, hyperflash, flicker, or intermittent operation before reinstalling final trim.
Final check
- All connectors are locked, dry, and routed without tension.
- Included modules or extra harnesses are secured away from heat, water paths, moving parts, and sharp edges.
- Both tail lights sit flush with even body gaps and properly seated seals.
- All supported lighting functions pass on both sides.
- No warning lights, flicker, hyperflash, abnormal heat, moisture issue, or loose wiring remains after a short check drive.
Troubleshooting
- One lamp does not turn on: Recheck the main connector lock, related fuse, and battery connection.
- One function does not work: Compare the plug area to the product reference images and verify the connector is fully seated.
- Warning message, flicker, or hyperflash: Confirm the correct product variant was installed and that any included decoder, resistor, or relay is connected and secured.
- Moisture appears: Light condensation right after installation is normal and usually clears within about a week of regular driving as the lamp warms up. If water collects inside or the moisture doesn't clear, contact RIGNOX support.
