Important: This online guide is a product-image-verified overview for the matched RIGNOX product. It uses the product page, product reference images, and visible lighting-function details to guide product-side checks. Confirm hidden vehicle-side fasteners, trim clips, and wiring access points on your exact vehicle before removal.

Safety warning: Do NOT use dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease on connectors or sockets. Grease can cause connection problems and may affect warranty coverage.

Product image checkpoints

  • The product reference images show direct-fit, plug-and-play style connection details. Match the supplied connector to the vehicle connector and confirm the lock tab seats fully before reinstalling trim.
  • Back-side or plug detail images are available for this item. Compare those photos with the removed original lamp before routing the harness.
  • The visible product-function references indicate running/parking light, brake light, reverse light, sequential turn signal, startup animation checks for this product. Test each supported function before tightening the lamp and closing the access area.
  • If the kit includes a decoder, resistor, control module, or relay, secure it away from heat, moving parts, water paths, and sharp metal edges. Do not add universal electrical parts unless support confirms they are needed.

Product notes

  • Use the product reference images on this page as the product-side visual check for connector layout, rear housing shape, and lighting functions.
  • Original vehicle trim, clip style, and fastener locations can vary by year, trim, and previous repairs. Remove panels slowly and verify each fastener before pulling.
  • Road-lighting compliance and off-road/show-use notes are product specific. Review the matching RIGNOX product page for the exact language for this item.

Before you begin

  • Confirm the exact product: Compare the RIGNOX tail lights to the product reference images, including rear housing, plug layout, lens style, and included modules.
  • Work powered down: Park on level ground, switch the vehicle off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal when handling wiring.
  • Protect body panels: Use clean towels or masking tape near painted edges around the tailgate, trunk, hatch, bed-side access, or cargo trim area.
  • Do not force clips: If a lamp or trim panel does not move, stop and look for another fastener or locating pin.
  • No grease on connectors: Do not apply dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease to connectors or sockets.

Tools and supplies

  • Trim removal tool or panel clip tool
  • Metric socket and ratchet set; verify exact sizes on the vehicle before removal
  • Phillips and flat screwdrivers
  • Clean microfiber towels and masking tape
  • Electrical tape and zip ties for securing included harnesses only
  • A helper for brake-light and reverse-light testing

Remove the original tail lights

  1. Open the rear access area: Open the tailgate, trunk, hatch, or cargo area and remove the access cover or liner needed to reach the lamp retainers.
  2. Support the original tail light: Hold the lamp while removing its nuts, bolts, screws, or clips.
  3. Pull the lamp straight out: Release locating pins by pulling in line with the original lamp. Do not lever against painted body panels.
  4. Disconnect the wiring: Press the connector lock tab and pull by the connector body, not by the wires.
  5. Compare before transfer: Compare the removed lamp with the RIGNOX product reference images. Transfer seals, sockets, brackets, or modules only when your kit and vehicle configuration require it.

Install the RIGNOX tail lights

  1. Pre-check the plug layout: Confirm the rear plug, connector count, and mounting points match the product reference images.
  2. Connect the main harness: Seat the vehicle connector fully into the RIGNOX connector and confirm the lock tab clicks into place.
  3. Route add-on wiring carefully: If your kit includes linking harnesses, decoders, resistors, or RGB/control modules, secure them away from hinges, latch movement, exhaust heat, water paths, and sharp edges.
  4. Seat the lamp evenly: Align locating pins and body gaps before tightening. Do not over-tighten plastic mounting points.
  5. Test before closing trim: Test running lights, brake lights, turn signals, hazards, reverse lights, startup animation, and RGB/app features where supported.
  6. Reinstall trim: Refit access covers, cargo liners, hatch trim, bed-side panels, and clips only after confirming no wires are pinched.

Electrical and function test

  1. Confirm running/parking lights on both sides.
  2. Confirm brake lights with a helper pressing the brake pedal.
  3. Confirm left and right turn signals, hazards, and sequential behavior where supported.
  4. Confirm reverse lights with the vehicle safely in reverse and the parking brake applied.
  5. Confirm startup animation or RGB/app functions only after normal road-light functions pass.
  6. Check for dashboard warnings, hyperflash, flicker, or intermittent operation before reinstalling final trim.

Final check

  • All connectors are locked, dry, and routed without tension.
  • Included modules or extra harnesses are secured away from heat, water paths, moving parts, and sharp edges.
  • Both tail lights sit flush with even body gaps and properly seated seals.
  • All supported lighting functions pass on both sides.
  • No warning lights, flicker, hyperflash, abnormal heat, moisture issue, or loose wiring remains after a short check drive.

Troubleshooting

  • One lamp does not turn on: Recheck the main connector lock, related fuse, and battery connection.
  • One function does not work: Compare the plug area to the product reference images and verify the connector is fully seated.
  • Warning message, flicker, or hyperflash: Confirm the correct product variant was installed and that any included decoder, resistor, or relay is connected and secured.
  • Moisture appears: Light condensation may clear as the lamp warms. Heavy or persistent moisture should be documented with photos before continued use.
