• No connector grease: Do not apply dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease to connectors or sockets.

Confirmed reference details

• Functions shown: The reference identifies light show, running light, turn signal, brake light, reverse light, and sequential turn signal.
• Parts list: The reference identifies two tail lamps, two side/trunk-door connection wires, one RGB/reverse/fog trunk-door connection wire, and one remote control.
• Remote pairing: Within 10 seconds of startup, turn on the running lights and press the brake, then long-press the remote button for 3-5 seconds to complete matching.
• Mode note: The remote click mode is shown as connecting to mode 30: no startup dynamics, no flowing turn signal, and no brake dynamics.
• Outer lamp removal: Remove side trunk soundproofing, find and unplug the outer tail-lamp main plug, remove the fixing screw, and remove the outer lamp. Left and right sides are the same.
• Inner lamp removal: Remove trunk-lid soundproofing, remove two fixed nuts, unplug the original plug, and remove the inner lamp.
• Wire layout: Use the 1.2m and 2.4m connecting wires as shown. Distinguish left and right sides before wiring, and route the trunk-door-to-body harness through the wire hose. Lubricate the hose before pulling the wire.
• RGB app: Use the LightRunning app shown in the reference. Modes 1-28 are for closed-road use; mode 28 includes startup dynamic, flowing turn signal, and brake flashing; mode 29 removes brake dynamics; mode 30 removes startup, turn-flow, and brake dynamics.

Tools and supplies

Remove the original tail lights

1. Remove the trunk liner clips: Open the trunk and remove the plastic clips securing the side trunk liner. Carefully pull the liner away from the body to expose the outer tail light mounting area.
   
   
   
2. Remove the outer tail light mounting nuts: Locate the 10mm mounting nuts behind the outer tail light and remove them with a 10mm socket. Support the tail light while removing the fasteners.
   
   
3. Disconnect the outer tail light harness: Press the locking tab on the factory electrical connector and separate the outer tail light harness.
   
   
4. Remove the outer tail lights: Carefully pull the factory outer tail light away from the body until it releases from its mounting position, then remove the assembly from the vehicle.
   
   
5. Remove the trunk lid liner: Remove the plastic clips securing the trunk lid liner, then lower and remove the liner to access the inner tail lights.
   
   
6. Remove the inner tail lights: Disconnect the factory connector and remove the retaining nuts from the back of each inner tail light. Support the light and carefully remove it from the trunk lid.
   
   
   

Install the RIGNOX tail lights

1. Connect the tail light wiring harnesses: Using SKU 638-RGB as an example, identify the trunk door piece plug, side piece plug, reversing/fog light connecting plug, sequence startup switch, and the OE-compatible driver-side and passenger-side connection wires. Connect each matching plug securely without forcing the connectors. The rear housing structure, connector positions, and wiring configuration may vary slightly depending on the specific product model or SKU. Refer to the actual connectors supplied with the product during installation.
   
   
2. Install the LED tail lights: Position each new tail light in the original trunk. Reinstall the retaining nuts and confirm that the wiring is routed without being pinched.
   
3. Reinstall the trunk liners: Return the side trunk liner and trunk lid liner to their original positions. Press all removed plastic clips back into place and confirm that each panel is secure.
   
   
4. Test all lighting functions: Activate each rear lighting function and confirm that both new LED tail lights operate correctly.
   
   

Electrical and function test

1. Test parking/running lights, brake lights, left and right turn signals, hazards, reverse lights, fog light if supported, and startup animation if equipped.
2. For through-light or linking-harness products, test both sides before reinstalling hatch, trunk, or cargo trim.
3. If a camera, BLIS module, bulb holder, resistor, decoder, or controller was transferred, confirm that related vehicle functions have no warning message.
4. For RGB/app variants, confirm controller power, app pairing, normal mode, RGB mode, speed/brightness controls, and the mode required for road use.
5. After all tests pass, reinstall trim panels and close the trunk, hatch, or tailgate slowly to confirm no wire is stretched or pinched.

Final check

• All connectors are fully seated and locked.
• All included harnesses are secured away from movement, sharp edges, water paths, and heat sources.
• Both lamps sit flush with even body gaps, properly seated seals, and no trapped harness under the weather seal.
• All tail lights functions test correctly on both sides with a helper operating the controls.
• No warning lights, hyperflash, flickering, abnormal heat, moisture entry, or loose modules remain after a short function check.

Troubleshooting

• One tail light does not turn on: Recheck the main connector, side-specific extension wire, and any plug-in adapter shown in the reference images.
• Brake, reverse, running, or turn function is wrong: Stop and compare the connector choice and wire routing with the reference images before moving pins or changing wiring.
• Warning, flicker, or hyperflash appears: Confirm any included decoder, resistor, or harness adapter is installed exactly for this product and vehicle trim.
• Trim will not sit flush: Check for a trapped harness, misaligned clip, folded weather seal, or incorrect grommet position.
• RGB/app feature does not respond: Confirm the product variant supports RGB, the controller has power, and the app or remote is paired before closing trim.
