Confirmed reference details
- Function points: The reference identifies running light, brake/turn signal, reverse light, spoiler light installation position, auxiliary adhesive, and fixed wire-speed/routing points.
- Debug button: The reference shows a remove/debug button. Use it only during function setup, then secure the harness before final assembly.
- Turn-function switch: With running and turn signals on, tap the switch to select turn-signal moving, blinking red, or blinking yellow.

Remove the original tail lights

Remove the two mounting screws: Open the tailgate to access the two screws on the inner side of the factory tail light. Remove both screws and keep them for reinstalling the Rignox tail light.

Release the factory tail light assembly: Insert a plastic trim removal tool or flat-head screwdriver into the gap behind the tail light. Carefully loosen the assembly, then pull it straight toward the rear of the vehicle to release it from the mounting points.

Remove the factory bulb sockets: Support the loosened tail light assembly and rotate each bulb socket to unlock it. Carefully pull the bulb sockets out of the factory tail light housing.

Disconnect the factory wiring harness: Release the locking tabs on the factory wiring connectors using a clip removal tool or flat-head screwdriver. Disconnect each connector carefully without pulling directly on the wires.
Install the RIGNOX tail lights
Identify the correct installation configuration: Check whether your Rignox tail light kit includes the tailgate light bar. Follow the connection method that matches your product configuration.
Installation Without the Tailgate
1. Connect the Rignox tail light connectors: Connect connectors A, B, and C to their corresponding factory connections. Make sure every connector is fully inserted and locked in place. Leave configuration button E accessible so the lighting modes can be adjusted after installation. For detailed instructions on adjusting the lighting modes, refer to the Lighting Mode Configuration section at the installation guide.
Installation With the Tailgate
1. Connect and position the main tail lights: Match and connect the corresponding plugs, then position the main Rignox tail lights in the factory mounting locations. Insert the lower locating pins first, press the upper sections into place, and reinstall the mounting screws. The installed tail lights will provide an alignment reference for the tailgate light bar. Keep configuration button E accessible.

Clean the tailgate mounting surface: Thoroughly clean the tailgate surface where the light bar will be installed. Use rubbing alcohol or the supplied adhesion promoter to remove dust, grease, and other residue, then allow the surface to dry completely.

Attach and align the tailgate light bar: Remove the protective backing from the adhesive tape. Align the light bar with the upper edges of the tailgate and both main tail lights, then press evenly along its entire length to secure it firmly.

Route and secure the light bar wiring: Route the light bar wiring along the inside of the tailgate, beneath the tailgate hinge area, and toward the underside of the truck. Guide the wiring into the cavity below the tail light while avoiding moving parts and areas where the wires could become pinched. Use the supplied cable guides and adhesive to fasten the wiring securely along the selected route. Check that the harness does not hang loosely and will not interfere with opening or closing the tailgate.

Complete the installation and test the lights: Confirm that every connector is fully seated and secure. Tighten the two tail light mounting screws, then test all lighting functions before completing the installation.
Configure the Lighting Modes
- Configure the turn signal mode: Unlock the vehicle, then press and hold the configuration button for approximately five to six seconds until the lights flash. Press the button the number of times corresponding to the desired mode, then lock and unlock the vehicle again to save the setting.
- Mode 1: The main tail lights and tailgate light bar display synchronized animations.
- Mode 2: The lights remain continuously illuminated.
- Mode 3: Only the main tail lights display the animation.
Important: Configure both sides separately
The left and right tail lights operate independently. Connect the configuration button to each side and complete the mode settings separately.
2. Configure the turn signal mode: Turn on the vehicle's hazard lights. While the hazard lights are operating, press the configuration button to cycle through the available turn signal modes. Turn off the hazard lights when the desired mode is displayed to save the setting.
- Mode 1: Red flashing turn signal.
- Mode 2: Yellow flashing turn signal.
- Mode 3: Yellow sequential turn signal.
Important: Remove the configuration button after setup
The configuration button is not waterproof. After completing the settings, disconnect the button and seal the connector with the supplied rubber cap.
Electrical and function test
- Test parking/running lights, brake lights, left and right turn signals, hazards, reverse lights, fog light if supported, and startup animation if equipped.
- For through-light or linking-harness products, test both sides before reinstalling hatch, trunk, or cargo trim.
- If a camera, bulb holder, resistor, decoder, or controller was transferred, confirm that related vehicle functions have no warning message.
- For RGB/app variants, confirm controller power, app pairing, normal mode, RGB mode, speed/brightness controls, and the mode required for road use.
- After all tests pass, reinstall trim panels and close the trunk, hatch, or tailgate slowly to confirm no wire is stretched or pinched.
Final check
- All connectors are fully seated and locked.
- All included harnesses are secured away from movement, sharp edges, water paths, and heat sources.
- Both lamps sit flush with even body gaps, properly seated seals, and no trapped harness under the weather seal.
- All tail lights functions test correctly on both sides with a helper operating the controls.
- No warning lights, hyperflash, flickering, abnormal heat, moisture entry, or loose modules remain after a short function check.
Troubleshooting
- One tail light does not turn on: Recheck the main connector, side-specific extension wire, and any plug-in adapter shown in the reference images.
- Brake, reverse, running, or turn function is wrong: Stop and compare the connector choice and wire routing with the reference images before moving pins or changing wiring.
- Warning, flicker, or hyperflash appears: Confirm any included decoder, resistor, or harness adapter is installed exactly for this product and vehicle trim.
- Trim will not sit flush: Check for a trapped harness, misaligned clip, folded weather seal, or incorrect grommet position.
- RGB/app feature does not respond: Confirm the product variant supports RGB, the controller has power, and the app or remote is paired before closing trim.
