Remove the inner tail light side trim: Pull off the black plastic trim located beside the inner tail light near the license plate area.

-
Remove the factory inner tail light: Use an 8 mm socket to remove the single retaining nut, disconnect the power connector, and remove the factory inner tail light.

Install the new inner tail light: Connect the new inner tail light plug. Connect the separate switch plug for sequential turn signals, or leave it disconnected for standard flashing.

-
Install the new outer tail light: Pull the factory outer tail light straight back and disconnect its plug. Connect all plugs to the new tail light, push it into its original position, and secure it with the three mounting nuts.

Test all lighting functions: Activate each rear lighting function and confirm that the new LED tail lights operate correctly.

Electrical and function test
- Confirm running/parking lights on both sides.
- Confirm brake lights with a helper pressing the brake pedal.
- Confirm left and right turn signals, hazards, and sequential behavior where supported.
- Confirm reverse lights with the vehicle safely in reverse and the parking brake applied.
- Confirm startup animation or RGB/app functions only after normal road-light functions pass.
- Check for dashboard warnings, hyperflash, flicker, or intermittent operation before reinstalling final trim.
Final check
- All connectors are locked, dry, and routed without tension.
- Included modules or extra harnesses are secured away from heat, water paths, moving parts, and sharp edges.
- Both tail lights sit flush with even body gaps and properly seated seals.
- All supported lighting functions pass on both sides.
- No warning lights, flicker, hyperflash, abnormal heat, moisture issue, or loose wiring remains after a short check drive.
Troubleshooting
- One lamp does not turn on: Recheck the main connector lock, related fuse, and battery connection.
- One function does not work: Compare the plug area to the product reference images and verify the connector is fully seated.
- Warning message, flicker, or hyperflash: Confirm the correct product variant was installed and that any included decoder, resistor, or relay is connected and secured.
- Moisture appears: Light condensation may clear as the lamp warms. Heavy or persistent moisture should be documented with photos before continued use.
- RGB/app feature does not respond: Confirm the product variant supports RGB, the controller has power, and the app/controller pairing has been completed.
