Before you begin
- Vehicle/product: 2022-2026 Honda Civic 11th Gen Sedan Sequential LED Tail Lights.
- SKU check: Confirm your kit SKU or variant matches T-CIV11-AR-SR, T-CIV11-AR-SW, T-CIV11-AR-SRGB, T-CIV11-BL-SW, T-CIV11-BL-SR, T-CIV11-BL-SRGB before removing original parts.
- Reference-first workflow: Review the installation reference images on this page before removing trim or connecting wiring. This guide includes confirmed details from the available reference text and images.
- Power and safety: Switch the vehicle off before unplugging connectors. Disconnect the negative battery terminal when handling wiring, fuse taps, or exposed circuits.
- Protect the vehicle: Use clean towels or masking tape around painted panels and trim edges. Do not force clips or pry against painted surfaces.
- No connector grease: Do not apply dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease to connectors or sockets.
- Rear lamp note: Leave trunk, hatch, cargo, or tailgate trim open until every lighting function passes testing.
Reference image checkpoints
- Connector layout: Compare each vehicle connector, adapter harness, and included extension wire with the reference images before powering the RIGNOX tail lights.
- Inner and outer lamp sequence: If the vehicle has trunk-lid, hatch, through-light, or outer corner lamps, remove and reinstall them in the sequence shown in the reference images.
- Harness routing: Route linking harnesses through the indicated grommets or trim paths. Keep wiring away from hinges, latch movement, weather seals, exhaust heat, and sharp sheet-metal edges.
- Transferred parts: Move cameras, brackets, BLIS modules, bulb holders, seals, or decorative plates only when the matching reference image shows that transfer.
- RGB/app variants: Confirm controller power, pairing, mode change, and local road-lighting use before final trim reassembly.
Confirmed reference details
- Tools confirmed: Quick wrench, pry tool, 10mm socket, and 8mm socket.
- Flat lamp removal: Remove all trunk inner trim clips, remove the trim panel, then remove the flat-lamp fixing screw and nut with a 10mm socket.
- Outer lamp removal: Remove the curved-lamp side trim with a pry tool, remove the side fixing screw with an 8mm socket, then remove the original lamp and unplug the harness.
- Curved-lamp wiring: The reference labels green as running light, red as brake, yellow as turn signal, and black as negative. Check black-to-black alignment before plugging in.
- Flat-lamp wiring: The reference labels white as reverse, green as running light, blue as fog light, and black as negative.
- Driver-side fog harness: Only the driver-side lamp is shown with a fog-light harness corresponding to the blue wire.
- Signal wire: The reference labels orange as the signal wire.
- Animation switch: There is a small on/off switch on the back of each outer light. Make sure it is set to ON, or the startup animation will not work. Keep it reachable while testing, before trim is reinstalled.
- Extra black plug (Arrow style): The Arrow-style lights (T-CIV11-AR-SR, T-CIV11-AR-SW, T-CIV11-AR-SRGB) have one extra black multi-pin plug. It is only used on a non-US version of the Civic. US cars have nothing to connect it to, so leave it unplugged and tape it up so it cannot rattle.
Factory installation manual: The two pages below are the factory installation sheet for these tail lights, showing the removal steps, the wire colors and the connector layout on the back of the lights.

Tools and supplies
- Trim removal tool or panel clip tool
- Metric socket and ratchet set; confirm the exact socket sizes against the reference images before removal
- Phillips and flat screwdrivers
- Clean microfiber towels and masking tape for painted trunk, hatch, tailgate, and quarter-panel edges
- Electrical tape and zip ties for securing included harnesses only
- A helper for brake-light and turn-signal testing
Remove the original tail lights
-
Remove the outer tail light trim cover: Use a plastic trim tool to carefully pry off the black plastic cover beside the outer tail light.

-
Remove the two outer tail light screws: Use a screwdriver or an 8 mm socket to remove the two screws securing the outer tail light.

-
Remove the outer tail light: Hold the outer tail light firmly and pull it straight outward. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the light assembly.

-
Remove the trunk lid liner: Remove the nine plastic retaining clips, then carefully take off the trunk lid liner.

-
Remove the inner tail light fasteners: Use a 10 mm socket to remove the three fasteners securing the inner tail light to the trunk lid.

-
Remove the factory inner tail light: Twist and remove the factory bulb sockets, press the internal retaining clips, then push the inner tail light outward and remove it from the trunk lid.

Install the RIGNOX tail lights
-
Open the trunk side liner: Remove the three plastic retaining clips and pull back the trunk side liner, then push the factory tail light harness into the trunk.

-
Route the new outer tail light harness: Feed the Rignox outer tail light harness through the factory body opening. Check the metal locating pin and transfer it from the factory light to the new light if necessary.

-
Install the rubber sealing grommet: Connect the Rignox harness to the factory connector, then install the supplied rubber sealing grommet in the body opening.

-
Position the Rignox inner tail light: Feed the inner tail light harness through the trunk lid opening, align the light with the mounting holes, and press it into position.

-
Route and secure the connecting harness: Route the wiring between the inner and outer tail lights behind the trunk lid's metal reinforcement, then secure it with zip ties to prevent movement and noise.

- Reinstall and secure the tail lights: Connect all plugs, push the tail lights back into their original mounting positions, and secure them with the screws. Reinstall the trim panels and plastic retaining clips.
-
Test all lighting functions: Activate each rear lighting function and confirm that the new LED tail lights operate correctly.

Electrical and function test
- Test parking/running lights, brake lights, left and right turn signals, hazards, reverse lights, fog light if supported, and startup animation if equipped.
- For through-light or linking-harness products, test both sides before reinstalling hatch, trunk, or cargo trim.
- If a camera, BLIS module, bulb holder, resistor, decoder, or controller was transferred, confirm that related vehicle functions have no warning message.
- For RGB/app variants, confirm controller power, app pairing, normal mode, RGB mode, speed/brightness controls, and the mode required for road use.
- After all tests pass, reinstall trim panels and close the trunk, hatch, or tailgate slowly to confirm no wire is stretched or pinched.
Final check
- All connectors are fully seated and locked.
- All included harnesses are secured away from movement, sharp edges, water paths, and heat sources.
- Both lamps sit flush with even body gaps, properly seated seals, and no trapped harness under the weather seal.
- All tail lights functions test correctly on both sides with a helper operating the controls.
- No warning lights, hyperflash, flickering, abnormal heat, moisture entry, or loose modules remain after a short function check.
Troubleshooting
- One tail light does not turn on: Recheck the main connector, side-specific extension wire, and any plug-in adapter shown in the reference images.
- Brake, reverse, running, or turn function is wrong: Stop and compare the connector choice and wire routing with the reference images before moving pins or changing wiring.
- Warning, flicker, or hyperflash appears: Confirm any included decoder, resistor, or harness adapter is installed exactly for this product and vehicle trim.
- Trim will not sit flush: Check for a trapped harness, misaligned clip, folded weather seal, or incorrect grommet position.
- RGB/app feature does not respond: Confirm the product variant supports RGB, the controller has power, and the app or remote is paired before closing trim.
