How Installation Works
Search or pick your make above and open your vehicle's guide — each one has step-by-step instructions with photos. Headlights are reached from the engine bay; tail lights from inside the trunk or tailgate. RIGNOX assemblies plug into the factory connector — no cutting or splicing.
Before you start
Check that every light, harness and adapter is in the box and undamaged. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Test-fit each light and check that the connectors match before you wire or power anything, then test every function before final mounting. Don't grease connectors unless the guide says so. It depends on your vehicle and how hands-on you are, but most installs take about 1–2 hours. Not comfortable doing it yourself? Any shop can install them, and if you get stuck on a step, ask our install team and we'll walk you through it.
What tools do I need?
Basic hand tools. Some vehicles need the grille or a few bumper-edge fasteners removed to reach the headlight bolts. No soldering or splicing in most cases.
Will I get hyperflash or a dashboard warning?
CANbus decoders are built into every RIGNOX headlight and tail light, and everything else needed to prevent hyperflash is included — built into the light or packed in the box — so there's no hyperflash or dash warning. If your turn signals still flash fast after install, contact us and we'll sort it out. After install, confirm running, brake, turn, and reverse all work — and that any blind-spot (BLIS) module still works with no warning light. What to check first: hyperflash, flicker and bulb-out warnings.
A light isn't working after install
On a new install it's almost always a connector that isn't fully latched, a missing adapter harness, a fuse, or a ground. Five checks in order, plus the left-right swap test that tells you whether it's the lamp or the vehicle: LED headlight or tail light not working. Still dark? Tell us what's happening.
Do I need to aim my new headlights?
Yes. Set the aim after install so the cutoff sits where it should and doesn't blind oncoming drivers. The adjusters are on the back of the housing. Step by step: how to aim LED projector headlights.
There's fog inside the lens — is that normal?
A thin haze after a cold night or a car wash can be normal on any vented lamp. Droplets or standing water that doesn't clear is not. How to tell the two apart: normal fog or a real leak.
Is this normal, or is something wrong?
A sharp cutoff with dark above it, the DRL turning amber during a signal, a welcome animation on unlock, a leveling dial that no longer does anything: all by design. The two-minute list: how LED lights behave after install.
Is it street-legal?
Some U.S. states regulate smoked lenses, sequential signals, and RGB colors. Keep a road-legal color and mode for driving (brake, turn, and reverse always run their required colors) and check your local laws.
How do I control the RGB colors?
Download the app (Happy Lighting or Star Light Running) and follow the RGB Light App Setup guide above.
