Any Color. One Tap. RGB and Digital Tail Lights, Explained

Red, white, or any color from your phone: how RGB and Digital tail lights work, what the app does, and why brake and turn always stay their legal colors.

Saturday night meet. Every car in the lot has a story, and the ones people gather around are the ones that do something. You open an app, tap once, and your tail lights shift from red to ice blue, then into a flowing animation across the bar. Next weekend it's white for a photoshoot. Same lights.

That's what RGB and Digital tail lights are for: a look you can change as often as you want, without buying another set.

Why color-changing tail lights used to be a bad idea

  • Strips taped into factory housings. Early kits were RGB strips stuck inside the stock lamp, with uneven color and LEDs that faded or died.
  • Extra boxes and spliced wires. A separate controller, loose wiring and taps into the factory harness: lots of ways to fail.
  • Safety lights in any color. Some kits let brake and turn run in whatever color you picked, which is exactly what you don't want behind you on the road.

Three ways to light the bar

  • Red: the classic tail light look, the default for most builds.
  • White: a white light-bar finish, popular with Clear lenses for a clean, high-end look.
  • RGB and Digital: set the color and the animation yourself. Digital builds are addressable, so the color flows segment by segment instead of the whole bar changing at once.

What the app and remote do

Your phone sets the look:

  • Any color or animation from your phone.
  • On Digital builds, Driving, Brake, Startup and Signal each get their own effect, not one effect stretched over everything.
  • Left and right stay locked in sync.
  • On builds with the remote, one tap snaps the bar back to solid red before you pull out.

Every RGB and Digital build is app-controlled; check the product page for the app name on the version you're looking at. Our app setup guide covers both apps.

Color is show. The safety signal is business.

Whatever color you pick for the bar, brake and turn always run their regulation colors: red when you brake, and your turn signal in its legal color. Playing with color never changes what the driver behind you sees when it matters. On the road, run the bar in red; keep the show modes for the show.

Plug and play, like every RIGNOX light

Everything is built into the assembly: no separate controller box and no splicing. RGB and Digital builds sync their units through signal cables between the light bars; your installation guide shows where they run. It plugs into the factory connector, and everything needed to prevent hyper-flash and dash codes is included — built into the light or packed in the box.

What this means for you

  • One set of lights, as many looks as you want
  • Brake and turn always in their legal colors
  • Back to solid red with one tap on remote-equipped builds
  • No controller boxes, no spliced wires

Who it's for

  • Tuners: match the bar to your paint, your wheels or the theme of the night.
  • Show and meet regulars: a rear end that people film.
  • Content creators: match the lights to the shoot in seconds.
  • Anyone who can't pick one look: you don't have to.

One set of lights. Unlimited looks. Any color, one tap.
