Product reference images
Use these images to compare the lamp shape, rear housing, visible plug layout, and lighting functions before final assembly. The photography below shows the Halo style. The Star Block style is wired differently; see its notes in the install steps.

Product image checkpoints
- The product reference images show direct-fit, plug-and-play style connection details. Match the supplied connector to the vehicle connector and confirm the lock tab seats fully before reinstalling trim.
- Back-side or plug detail images are available for this item. Compare those photos with the removed original lamp before routing the harness.
- The visible product-function references indicate projector beam output, low beam, DRL, sequential turn signal, white/amber switchback behavior checks for this product. Confirm beam pattern and function behavior before final bumper or grille reassembly.
- Star Block style: plug straight into the factory connectors first, and fit the included adapter harness only if the low or high beam doesn't come on. Confirm the turn signal and daytime light behave correctly with the lamp still loose before you reassemble.
- If the kit includes a decoder, resistor, control module, or relay, secure it away from heat, moving parts, water paths, and sharp metal edges. Do not add universal electrical parts unless support confirms they are needed.
Product notes
- Use the product reference images on this page as the product-side visual check for connector layout, rear housing shape, and lighting functions.
- Original vehicle trim, clip style, and fastener locations can vary by year, trim, and previous repairs. Remove panels slowly and verify each fastener before pulling.
- Road-lighting compliance and off-road/show-use notes are product specific. Review the matching RIGNOX product page for the exact language for this item.
Before you begin
- Confirm the exact product: Compare the RIGNOX headlights to the product reference images, including rear housing, plug layout, lens style, and included modules.
- Work powered down: Park on level ground, switch the vehicle off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal when handling wiring.
- Protect body panels: Use clean towels or masking tape near painted edges around the hood, grille, bumper edge, or fender liner area.
- Do not force clips: If a lamp or trim panel does not move, stop and look for another fastener or locating pin.
- No grease on connectors: Do not apply dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease to connectors or sockets.
Tools and supplies
- Trim removal tool or panel clip tool
- Metric socket and ratchet set; verify exact sizes on the vehicle before removal
- Phillips and flat screwdrivers
- Clean microfiber towels and masking tape
- Electrical tape and zip ties for securing included harnesses only
- A wall or flat vertical surface for beam-pattern checking
Remove the original headlights
-
Remove the grille retaining clips: Use a trim removal tool or screwdriver to release the plastic retaining clips along the top of the front grille.

-
Remove the grille mounting screws: Use a socket wrench to remove the mounting screws located at both ends of the top of the front grille.

-
Remove the lower headlight trim: Pull the front grille outward carefully and remove it from the vehicle, then remove the small side trim piece below the headlight and release its retaining clips.

-
Remove the headlight mounting screws: Remove the mounting screws around the headlight assembly, including the screws on the front and side.

-
Remove the lower screw and pull out the headlight: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the mounting screw in the narrow area below the headlight, then carefully pull the headlight assembly out of its mounting position.

-
Disconnect and remove the factory headlight: Disconnect the main bulb wiring connector and the turn signal or corner light connector, then completely remove the factory headlight assembly.

Install the RIGNOX headlights
- Halo style: join each corner lamp to its headlight: Plug the corner lamp's black 4-pin connector into the matching connector on the round headlight until it clicks.
- Halo style: plug in the load resistors: On each corner-lamp harness, next to the grey 3-pin plug, find the short yellow/black lead with a 2-pin plug. Plug a resistor box into it. It's plug-in, with no cutting or splicing. Do this on both sides, or the turn signals will flash fast.
- Halo style: mount the resistor boxes: Secure each resistor box to bare metal on the body, about 4-6 in (10-15 cm) away from the headlight and any plastic parts or wiring.
- Halo style: connect the white DRL wire: Plug the white wire into the waterproof connector on each corner-lamp harness. Route the other end to the fuse box and attach it to the terminal of an ACC (key-on) fuse. This wire is required. It powers the white daytime running light and the startup animation. Connect it to an ACC (key-on) fuse, not to ground.
- Star Block style: connect the red wire: The red wire has a plug for each side. Plug one into the waterproof connector on each headlight, then route the single bare end to the fuse box and attach it to the terminal of an ACC (key-on) fuse.
-
Connect the vehicle plugs: Plug each headlight into the factory 9003 headlight connector and the factory grey turn/park connector. On the Star Block style, plug each headlight straight into the factory connectors first. If the low or high beam doesn't come on, fit the included adapter harness between the factory connector and the headlight. Leave the lamps loose for now so you can test.

-
Test all lighting functions: Before reinstalling all removed components, activate each lighting function and confirm that the new LED headlights operate correctly.

- Secure the headlights and line them up with the grille: Mount each headlight in place. The housings are molded to factory dimensions, and the factory lights also leave a small gap here. Before final tightening, shift each headlight slightly in its mounts until the gap to the grille is even, then tighten.
Electrical and function test
- Confirm low beam and high beam operate on both sides.
- Confirm DRL, parking light, amber turn signal, hazard, sequential, and switchback behavior where supported by this product. On the Star Block style the daytime light stays white and an amber side marker lights at the outer corner.
- Turn the key to ACC and confirm the startup animation runs. If it doesn't, check that the white wire (Halo style) or red wire (Star Block style) is attached to an ACC fuse terminal.
- Check for dashboard warnings, flicker, or intermittent operation before reinstalling final trim.
- Verify beam aim after installation so the cutoff is safe and even.
Final check
- All connectors are locked, dry, and routed without tension.
- Included modules or extra harnesses are secured away from heat, water paths, moving parts, and sharp edges.
- Both headlights sit flush with even body gaps and properly seated seals.
- All supported lighting functions pass on both sides.
- No warning lights, flicker, hyperflash, abnormal heat, moisture issue, or loose wiring remains after a short check drive.
Troubleshooting
- One lamp does not turn on: Recheck the main connector lock, related fuse, and battery connection.
- One function does not work: Compare the plug area to the product reference images and verify the connector is fully seated. On the Star Block style, if the low or high beam doesn't come on, fit the included adapter harness.
- Turn signals flash fast (hyperflash): On the Halo style, one or both resistor boxes are not plugged in. Check the 2-pin plug next to the grey connector on each side. If your truck has a lot of other lighting mods, or you installed our tail lights together with these headlights, the included resistors may not be enough. Contact RIGNOX support with your order number and we'll send extra resistors free.
- No daytime running light (Halo style): The white wire isn't attached to an ACC fuse terminal, or that fuse isn't key-on.
- No startup animation: The white wire (Halo style) or red wire (Star Block style) isn't attached to an ACC fuse terminal, or that fuse isn't key-on.
- Uneven gap at the grille: Loosen the headlight mounting screws, shift the lamp until the gap is even, then retighten.
- A pin feels loose in a connector: Each terminal has a small locking tab. Lift it slightly with a pick or small flat screwdriver, then push the terminal back in until it clicks.
- Lights flicker or glow faintly with the headlights off: On the Halo style, check that both resistor boxes are plugged in. Some vehicles send a small trickle current through the factory light connectors even when the lights are off. Halogen bulbs don't show it, but LEDs do. The resistor boxes absorb it. If the flicker continues with both resistors connected, the trickle current on that circuit is higher than normal. Have the factory wiring checked, since a constant drain also shortens battery life.
- Warning message or flicker: Confirm the correct product variant was installed and that every included part is connected and secured.
- Moisture appears: Light condensation right after installation is normal and usually clears within about a week of regular driving as the lamp warms up. If water collects inside or the moisture doesn't clear, contact RIGNOX support.
- Beam pattern is too high or uneven: Recheck lamp seating first, then adjust aim on a flat surface.
