Before you begin

- Work powered down: Park on level ground, switch the vehicle off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal when handling wiring.
- Protect body panels: Use clean towels or masking tape near painted edges around the tailgate, trunk, hatch, bed-side access, or cargo trim area.

Remove the original tail lights

Remove the tailgate assist damper, if equipped: Open the tailgate. If the vehicle is equipped with a tailgate assist damper, use a small flat-head screwdriver or suitable pry tool to release the metal retaining clip, then pull the damper end off the mounting stud.

Remove the tail light mounting bolts: Use an 8 mm socket to remove the two bolts securing the inner side of the factory tail light assembly.

Remove the factory tail light assembly: Carefully pull the tail light assembly straight rearward to release it from the locating pins. Press the connector locking tabs, disconnect the electrical connectors, and remove the factory tail light.

Install the RIGNOX tail lights

Connect and install the Rignox tail light assembly: For applicable U.S.-spec vehicles without the factory radar system, connect the supplied adapter harness. Connect the green connector to the lower reverse-light connection. Align the locating pins with the body openings, press the tail light assembly firmly into position, and reinstall the two 8 mm mounting bolts.

Reinstall the tailgate assist damper and test the lights: If removed, press the tailgate assist damper back onto its mounting stud and confirm that it is securely attached. Turn on the vehicle lights and test all tail light functions.

Electrical and function test
- Confirm running/parking lights on both sides.
- Confirm brake lights with a helper pressing the brake pedal.
- Confirm left and right turn signals, hazards, and sequential behavior where supported.
- Confirm reverse lights with the vehicle safely in reverse and the parking brake applied.
- Confirm startup animation or RGB/app functions only after normal road-light functions pass.
