Before you begin

• Confirm the exact product: Compare the RIGNOX tail lights to the product reference images, including rear housing, plug layout, lens style, and included modules.
• Work powered down: Park on level ground, switch the vehicle off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal when handling wiring.
• Protect body panels: Use clean towels or masking tape near painted edges around the tailgate, trunk, hatch, bed-side access, or cargo trim area.
• Do not force clips: If a lamp or trim panel does not move, stop and look for another fastener or locating pin.
• No grease on connectors: Do not apply dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease to connectors or sockets.

Tools and supplies

Remove the original tail lights

1. Remove the tailgate assist damper, if equipped: Open the tailgate. If the vehicle is equipped with a tailgate assist damper, use a small flat-head screwdriver or suitable pry tool to release the metal retaining clip, then pull the damper end off the mounting stud.
   
   
2. Remove the tail light mounting bolts: Use an 8 mm socket to remove the two bolts securing the inner side of the factory tail light assembly.
   
   
3. Remove the factory tail light assembly: Carefully pull the tail light assembly straight rearward to release it from the locating pins. Press the connector locking tabs, disconnect the electrical connectors, and remove the factory tail light.
   
   

Install the RIGNOX tail lights

1. Connect and install the Rignox tail light assembly: For trucks without the factory radar system, connect the supplied adapter harness. Connect the green connector to the lower reverse-light connection. Align the locating pins with the body openings, press the tail light assembly firmly into position, and reinstall the two 8 mm mounting bolts.
   
   
2. Reinstall the tailgate assist damper and test the lights: If removed, press the tailgate assist damper back onto its mounting stud and confirm that it is securely attached. Turn on the vehicle lights and test all tail light functions.
   
   

Electrical and function test

1. Confirm running/parking lights on both sides.
2. Confirm brake lights with a helper pressing the brake pedal.
3. Confirm left and right turn signals and hazards.
4. Confirm reverse lights with the vehicle safely in reverse and the parking brake applied.
5. Check for dashboard warnings, hyperflash, flicker, or intermittent operation before reinstalling final trim.

Final check

• All connectors are locked, dry, and routed without tension.
• Included modules or extra harnesses are secured away from heat, water paths, moving parts, and sharp edges.
• Both tail lights sit flush with even body gaps and properly seated seals.
• All supported lighting functions pass on both sides.
• No warning lights, flicker, hyperflash, abnormal heat, moisture issue, or loose wiring remains after a short check drive.

Troubleshooting

• One lamp does not turn on: Recheck the main connector lock, related fuse, and battery connection.
• One function does not work: Compare the plug area to the product reference images and verify the connector is fully seated.
• Warning message, flicker, or hyperflash: Confirm the correct product variant was installed and that any included decoder, resistor, or relay is connected and secured.
• Moisture appears: Light condensation right after installation is normal and usually clears within about a week of regular driving as the lamp warms up. If water collects inside or the moisture doesn't clear, contact RIGNOX support.
