Before you begin

• Confirm the exact product: Compare the RIGNOX headlights to the product reference images, including rear housing, plug layout, lens style, and included modules.
• Work powered down: Park on level ground, switch the vehicle off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal when handling wiring.
• Protect body panels: Use clean towels or masking tape near painted edges around the hood, grille, bumper edge, or fender liner area.
• Do not force clips: If a lamp or trim panel does not move, stop and look for another fastener or locating pin.
• No grease on connectors: Do not apply dielectric grease or weather-sealing grease to connectors or sockets.

Tools and supplies

Remove the original headlights

1. Remove the front wheel-well fasteners: Turn the front wheels fully to one side to access the wheel-well area. Remove the fasteners securing the front wheel-well liners and the sides of the front bumper to the fenders. Repeat this process on both sides of the vehicle.
   
   
2. Remove the upper engine-compartment cover: Use a trim removal tool to release all plastic retaining clips from the upper cover at the front of the engine compartment. Remove the cover panel from the vehicle.
   
   
3. Remove the grille-side trim panels and bumper clips: Pull outward to remove the plastic trim panels on both sides of the front grille. Release the plastic retaining clips along the sides and upper edge of the front bumper.
   
   
4. Remove the front bumper: Starting at one side, carefully pull the front bumper outward to release it from the retaining points. Lift the bumper slightly from underneath and remove it from the vehicle.
   
   
5. Remove the headlight mounting bolts: Use a 10 mm socket and extension to remove the four bolts securing the factory headlight assembly. These bolts are located along the top, side, and recessed lower mounting points.
   
   
6. Release the headlight retaining clips: Use a trim removal tool to carefully release the plastic mounting bracket and retaining clips around the edge of the headlight. Confirm that all retaining points are fully disengaged.
   
   
7. Disconnect and remove the factory headlight: Slowly pull the headlight assembly forward to access the rear connections. Disconnect the main lighting harness and the high-beam and low-beam connectors, then remove the factory headlight assembly.
   
   
8. Transfer the factory lower mounting bracket: Remove the 10 mm bolt securing the lower mounting bracket to the factory headlight. Detach the original metal or plastic bracket and install it in the corresponding position on the Rignox headlight.
   
   

Install the RIGNOX headlights

1. Connect and install the Rignox headlight assembly: Connect the vehicle wiring connectors to the corresponding connectors on the Rignox headlight. Position the replacement headlight in the factory mounting location, align all mounting points and clips, and reinstall the four 10 mm mounting bolts.
   
   
2. Test the headlights before final reassembly: Before reinstalling the front bumper and upper engine-compartment cover, turn on the headlights and verify that the low beams, high beams, and other required lighting functions operate correctly. Complete the final reassembly after confirming proper operation.
   

Electrical and function test

1. Confirm low beam and high beam operate on both sides.
2. Confirm DRL, parking light, amber turn signal, hazard, sequential, and switchback behavior where supported by this product.
3. Confirm startup animation or RGB/app functions only after normal road-light functions pass.
4. Check for dashboard warnings, flicker, or intermittent operation before reinstalling final trim.
5. Verify beam aim after installation so the cutoff is safe and even.

Final check

• All connectors are locked, dry, and routed without tension.
• Included modules or extra harnesses are secured away from heat, water paths, moving parts, and sharp edges.
• Both headlights sit flush with even body gaps and properly seated seals.
• All supported lighting functions pass on both sides.
• No warning lights, flicker, hyperflash, abnormal heat, moisture issue, or loose wiring remains after a short check drive.

Troubleshooting

• One lamp does not turn on: Recheck the main connector lock, related fuse, and battery connection.
• One function does not work: Compare the plug area to the product reference images and verify the connector is fully seated.
• Warning message, flicker, or hyperflash: Confirm the correct product variant was installed and that any included decoder, resistor, or relay is connected and secured.
• Moisture appears: Light condensation right after installation is normal and usually clears within about a week of regular driving as the lamp warms up. If water collects inside or the moisture doesn't clear, contact RIGNOX support.
• Beam pattern is too high or uneven: Recheck lamp seating first, then adjust aim on a flat surface.
• RGB/app feature does not respond: Confirm the product variant supports RGB, the controller has power, and the app/controller pairing has been completed.
