Installation reference images
Before you begin
- Vehicle: 2023-2026 Honda Accord 11th Gen sedan tail light and trunk-lid light-bar installation.
- Tools confirmed from the reference images: ratchet wrench, 10mm socket, 8mm socket, and pry/trim removal tool.
- Protect the trunk trim: The installation requires removing trunk trim, PE foam, license-plate-opening fasteners, and the original camera from the trunk-lid assembly.
- Low-trim note: The reference shows separate low-trim harness adapters for the cornering lamps and through-light. Confirm whether your vehicle needs the supplied low-trim harness before final assembly.
Remove the original trunk-lid through-light assembly
- Open the trunk and remove trim clips: Remove the plastic clips, then lift the PE foam to access the fasteners behind the trunk-lid panel.
- Loosen the two marked screws: Loosen the two screws marked in the reference image.
- Remove the center screw: Remove the one screw at the center of the license plate light opening. Do not remove the nut marked as not required in the reference image.
- Remove the side screws: Remove the screws on the left and right sides of the license plate light opening. The reference image shows six total side screws.
- Unplug the wire clip and connector: Remove the wire clip and connector. The left side may include an additional camera connector.
- Remove the original trunk-lid light assembly: Support the assembly as it releases so it does not scratch the trunk-lid paint.
- Transfer the camera: Use a flathead screwdriver to release the camera tabs, then install the camera onto the RIGNOX light assembly.
Remove the original outer cornering lamps
- Access the lamp connector and wire clip: Open the trunk trim area enough to reach the connector and wire clip on each outer lamp.
- Unplug the connector and clip: Disconnect by the connector body and remove the wire clip before removing the lamp.
- Remove the original outer lamp: Release the original cornering lamp from the body. Repeat the same process on both sides.
Install the RIGNOX through-light and outer lamps
- Install the trunk-lid through-light: Seat the RIGNOX assembly into the white clips shown in the reference image.
- Hold the through-light position while tightening: When tightening the through-light screws, hold the light upward by hand as shown in the reference note so the final position sits correctly.
- Route the flat/curved light connecting wire: Follow the trunk-lid routing diagram and secure the flat/curved light wire to the trunk hinge/rocker arm area with zip ties. Make sure the wire does not bind when the trunk opens and closes.
- Install both outer lamps: Connect and seat the left and right outer lamps, then confirm the body gaps and seals are even.
- Reconnect camera and lamp connectors: Reconnect the camera connector, lamp connector, and wire clips before reinstalling trunk trim.
Low-trim harness notes
- Outer cornering lamp low-trim harness: For low-trim vehicles, find the supplied low-trim cornering-light harness, unplug the high-trim harness connector at the marked location, and plug the low-trim harness into the light assembly. Repeat on both sides.
- Through-light low-trim harness: Find the supplied low-trim through-light harness, unplug the high-trim harness connector at the marked location, and plug the low-trim harness into the light assembly. Repeat on both sides.
- Do not force unmatched connectors: If the low-trim or high-trim connector does not match the reference, stop and confirm the vehicle trim and supplied harness before powering the lamps.
Function test before final trim
- Reconnect power temporarily and test running lights, brake lights, turn signals, hazards, reverse lights if applicable, startup animation, and RGB/app control if equipped.
- Confirm the rear camera image works after the camera is transferred and reconnected.
- Open and close the trunk slowly to confirm the routed connecting wire does not stretch, pinch, or rub on the hinge/rocker arm.
- After all functions pass, reinstall the PE foam, trunk clips, license-plate-opening trim, and trunk-lid panels.
Troubleshooting
- Through-light does not sit flush: Recheck the white clips and hold the assembly upward while tightening the screws.
- Camera does not work: Recheck the camera transfer, connector lock, and left-side connector shown in the reference.
- One side does not light: Recheck whether the vehicle needs the low-trim harness adapter or the standard harness connection.
- Wire rubs when the trunk moves: Re-route the flat/curved light connecting wire and secure it with zip ties along the path shown in the reference.
